Eco Kids Ltd
The Little Green House was started out in 2008 in a small lodge at the back of a local garden centre. Founder Michelle provide chreche based activities in Gardening Cooking Arts and Craft. The business was started via The Princes Trust and features in their book “Make it Happen” The Princes Trust Guide to Starting Your Own Business Within 12 months, requests from Schools, Childrens Centres and Event Organisers to deliver sessions for them on their own site led The Little Green House to make the decision to go mobile. In 2011 we opened a brand new chapter. Eco Kids Social Enterprise Franchise was set up to give us the opportunity to deliver the projects that are close to our hearts to wider communities and to give others the opportunity to do the same with our support. We provide innovative classes which teach the benefits of caring for our environment. We show children the importance of living sustainably. We work with Children, Young People and the wider community. Our classes have received wonderful feedback from children, teachers and parents alike. The Eco Kids is a team of three social entrepreneurs who believe in caring for the planet. We provide a wide range of activities all focusing on health, long term wellbeing which were environmentally sound, socially conscious and sustainable. We are committed to investing in projects that encourage positive change. Eco Kids also engages with the local community in lots of ways. We have recently set up an allotment project where we invite children, who have no access to a garden at home, opportunities to expand areas of outdoor play and personal growth. We are so proud of our business and the course it has taken, that we took the decision to license, owing to interest from schools across the country. We are currently working with a number of people helping them to set up Eco Kids as a social enterprise business in their own areas.
