Q1: How is U local?

A1: U will provide you with your own local domain, for instance the UK is U (yourcounty).com/.co.uk/.co  e.g. www.umanchester.co.uk

Q2: Will the U services be restricted within my local area?

A2: No, unlike other hyper-local sites where they are stand alone locally U will be interconnecting all its local websites so people can chat, shop, trade etc locally and globally. But ensuring they keep a local identity “U goes local to global instead of global to local”

Q3: How do people vote for which projects to be funded within their local area?

A3: A special area within your local website will be designated for u-local users and business members to vote on which projects are to be funded.

Q4:How will users and members be updated on projects that have been awarded grants?

A4: Part of the agreement of any grant that is awarded will be to ensure that updates are given via your local u website.

Q5: Will local councils be involved?

A5: Invitations have been sent to all councils to get their involvement.

Q6: How do the various U services make profits for your local area?

A6:There will be various ways that each service will make money. These include:

  • UShop membership charges
  • Advertising
  • Classified Ads
  • Charges for trading
  • Premium directory services

Q7: Is U only UK or global?

A7: U will be global but will initialise services in the UK

Q8: If I donate, what’s in it for me?

A8: A better community with a better future as it will generate self reliance.

Q9: Will U provide new local jobs?

A9:The vision is that by supporting local businesses; invariably we ensure more local jobs become available.

Q10: Can anybody get involved with U?

A10: All that want to get involved can help build and develop U. Please contact getinvolved@u-do.comif you are keen.

Q11: Will U be seen as the next fat cat?

A11: It is impossible for U to become a fat cat, as our principle is always to distribute funds for the benefit of your communities. U does want to become a big boy that can help protect those small boys.

Q12: Does U plan to increase its services offering past the internet?

A12: Yes, by working with partner’s U plans to increase the services it will offer meaning more profits to distribute.
